When the winds pick up around here, people don’t just go out and fly a kite. Naw, they’d rather boot over to the nearest shoreline to go fly WITH their kites. And I have to say, does it ever look like a heck of a good time out there.
Sure, I would’ve loved to join in on the action. But let’s get real. At this stage in my life, I thought it was a little smarter to just enjoy it all from behind the camera instead. And you know what? I had an absolute blast just trying to keep up with all the action while skirting up and down the shoreline and bluffs to get various angles of these water warriors. And yeah, a telephoto lens would’ve been nice that day to help capture the expressions of the surfers as they performed their magic, but I think I still managed to capture some snippets that were good enough to do this breathtaking sport some justice.
But hey, perhaps you should be the judge of that. 😉
