Climate Crisis Short Film

With the extreme environmental conditions the world has been experiencing the past decade, not to mention all that we’ve experienced more recently, such as the UK heatwave, originally projected for 2050, CrackerJackFlash had little choice but to invest much of the past few months to produce this important short film around the climate crisis.

With so much at stake, this project went far beyond CJ*F‘s annual pro bono project. Fortunately, CJ*F had many helpful hands volunteering their time towards the cause—close to 50 actually—pushing the final product far beyond the film’s original expectations.

Sure the concept may have looked straight and simple on paper, but getting the ball rolling took a huge leap of faith. Faith that those who CJ*F had never met would jump on board to help bring the concept to life. Starting out with a few cold calls to reputable businesses and organizations around Victoria, there was not one bat of an eye when asked to participate in the film. The momentum pretty much snow-balled from the very beginning with folks not only agreeing to contribute but also offering helpful ideas and solutions along the way when it came to sourcing donated props, services, or casting…etc.

This project was a herculean effort, one that CJF could not have accomplished on its own. So much so, that we feel compelled to relist the film’s credits right here in this post, starting with two of the film’s greatest contributors: Aya Laforme, who at age of 14 composed and performed the film’s powerful soundtrack, “Holding the World” ⓒ 2022. And Tyler Cave of Cave Productions for donating the heavenly drone footage seen at the beginning and end of the film.

That all being said, CJ*F thanks you in advance for reviewing the film, and more importantly, for taking immediate action on the solutions available to us right now by visiting:
