This project holds a special place in my heart for several reasons. I had the incredible privilege of working with 4VI Social Enterprise Group to spotlight the Comox Valley, an area that beautifully captures the essence of responsible tourism. As someone who has always felt deeply connected to Vancouver Island, and who has a strong passion for sustainable travel, the chance to showcase this stunning region was both exciting and rewarding.
The process began with developing the vision and strategy, a critical first step in ensuring that we effectively communicated the region’s uniqueness. I worked alongside a hard-working team to draft a script that would bring the values of responsible tourism to life. However, what truly made this project special was the opportunity to edit together breathtaking b-roll footage from some of the island’s top videographers. These shots weren’t just beautiful visuals—they were pieces of a larger narrative, one that speaks to the importance of sustainable travel and the preservation of these beautiful landscapes for future generations. Shaping this footage into a cohesive story felt like weaving together a tapestry of the island’s best offerings, both visually and thematically.
What makes this project even more exciting is that, starting April 7th, cut-downs of the video will be airing across Canada on CTV. This is a fantastic opportunity to share the beauty of Vancouver Island with a wider audience, spreading the message of sustainable tourism far beyond the island’s shores.
I’m incredibly proud of how the project turned out and thankful for the chance to contribute to a campaign that highlights one of the most beautiful places on Earth while promoting the importance of responsible tourism. It’s a reminder of why I’m so passionate about both Vancouver Island and the sustainable future of travel.
