Canadian Geographic Photo of the Week!

Victoria received a rather large dump of snow in February, and as a result, my camera was working overtime…day and night. That said, I walked up nearby Knockan Hill Park about a dozen times to see what I could capture.

One evening, conditions were perfect and I decided to capture one of my favorite Garry Oaks on the island. The wind was still, the snow was freshly clumped to the tree’s branches and the moon floating above seemed to decorate the tree as well as illuminating the late evening landscape below.

And wouldn’t you know…Canadian Geographic recognized the shot as one of February’s photo of the week!
