Annual Disc Golf Charity

Who says charitable events can’t be a blast? Not the Odd Fellows, or the charities they donate to each year.

That’s why, over the past 5 years, the Odd Fellows and their dedicated volunteers have successfully raised close to $100,000, simply by playing a round of disc golf on one of the most beautiful disc golf courses on Vancouver Island.

That kind of money is great news for the Vancouver Island Crisis Society, where those charitable donations go towards keeping their crisis lines open 24/7, which in turn helps to cover the recent 9% increase in calls, translating into over 42,000 calls last year alone. The money raised from this event is also a huge part of Blossoming at the Farm’s ability to keep offering world-class therapeutic and nature-based education to children and youth in need.

This was such a great story to be told that it needed to be shouted from the rooftops, or in this case, over video and social media. That’s why CrackerJackFlash donated its time and resources to capture the sentiments and reasons the audience should participate in this year’s important event.

We also needed to get a landing page going to make the event, info and tickets more readily available to the audience, so CJ*F collaborated with Andy Bernhart of Ocean Swell to get that going as well. And wouldn’t you know it, Andy was kind enough to surprise me by coming back with a proper site devoted to the cause, not just the simple landing page I had asked for. That’s the kind of spirit that this charitable event attracts.

So if you happen to live in the Victoria area, and you are reading this before the event, (June 11th, 2022) here’s an invitation to pick up some tickets, donate a prize, volunteer or become a valued sponsor for the 2022 Odd Fellows Disc Golf Jamboree by visiting OddFellowsDiscGolf.com today!
